Conflict Management

Introduction

Conflict is unavoidable. It has both positive and negative consequences for an organization and for individuals. Understanding conflict and learning to manage it effectively can greatly assist a team in accomplishing its mission and goals. Conflict is actually designed (although unintentionally) into organizations in which people are assigned different but connecting responsibilities and financial controls limit the use of organizational resources. Learning to manage conflict effectively will enable the team to take advantage of it while working toward organizational and personal goals.
